The Compliance Office at RISD was established to assist the campus in tracking, understanding and complying with all of our assurance activities (federal and state laws and regulations, and grant requirements).

Institutional compliance is the responsibility of a number of different areas on campus with oversight residing under the Risk Manager. The information on this compliance webpage was designed to be used as a tool by all departments on campus, but it is still the responsibility of individual departments to ensure that compliance requirements are met on time.

It is the responsibility of each department on campus to update the Office of Compliance when any changes or additions are made to their department’s compliance requirements. On an annual basis the Compliance Office will send each department its compliance list and will ask that it be reviewed to ensure that the database stays up to date.
