The elected RISD Staff Council fosters a spirit of unified community, advocates for a working environment that enables all staff members at RISD to reach their full potential, and serves as a conduit for the exchange of information between RISD staff and Senior Administrators.

Vision
The RISD Staff Council will:

• Provide a forum to discuss the needs, concerns, and interests of all RISD staff members
• Promote a positive and collaborative work environment
• Facilitate open communication between the staff and all members of the RISD community
• Participate in RISDʼs system of shared governance at all levels
• Engage the RISD community to assist those in need
• Propose policies to promote staff development and general welfare
